Job Description The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: * Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team * Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. * Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others. * Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. * Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. * Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. * Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. * Prepares technical specification sections. * Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, preferably Masters in Structural Engineering. * 7- 25 years of experience. Must have experience in detailed design of bridges for Highways and Railways & Metros projects. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to hold a PE license in NY and/or NJ within 12 months of hire * Experience working with bridges * Experience working in NY Metro agencies * Master's degree in Structural Engineering is nice to have * Proficiency with CAD and similar computer software Additional Information Sound knowledge of Indian code for road and rail Bridges design.
